The 7 confirmed cases in Hapcheon are contacts of confirmed cases within the province.
Among them, 5 are family members or coworkers of a Hapcheon County Office employee who was confirmed positive the previous day.
The quarantine authorities explained that after testing 703 people including the Hapcheon County Office employee and their contacts, 5 additional cases were confirmed.
Among the confirmed cases in Changwon, 3 had contact with confirmed cases from Busan.
One confirmed case in Changwon was tested due to COVID-19 symptoms and was positive, and another was tested positive before release from quarantine after entering from India.
Among the confirmed cases in Gimhae, 2 had contact with confirmed cases within the province, and 2 had contact with confirmed cases from Daegu and Busan, respectively.
The 2 confirmed cases in Haman are family members of a confirmed case from Busan.
The confirmed case in Yangsan tested positive before release from quarantine after entering from the Philippines.
The confirmed case in Geoje was related to entertainment establishments and businesses in Geoje and was tested positive after developing symptoms during quarantine.
The cumulative number of confirmed cases in the province has increased to 3,078 (205 hospitalized, 2,859 discharged, 14 deceased).
It is known that 21 people, including facility users, their families, and workers, were confirmed positive at a daytime care center in Gimhae on this day, and quarantine authorities are verifying the exact situation.
