[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] On the 8th at 1:30 PM, Jung Won-oh, Mayor of Seongdong-gu, along with Kim Yeon-su, Director of Seoul National University Hospital, guided Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon through the overall operation process of Seoul’s first vaccination center established at Seongdong-gu Office.
They inspected all procedures from arrival and registration at the vaccination center to preliminary examination, vaccination, and observation for adverse reactions, as well as the storage location of the Pfizer vaccine.
The Seongdong-gu Vaccination Center is the nation’s first specialized operation model where metropolitan and basic local governments cooperate with a tertiary general hospital. Seoul National University Hospital is fully responsible for vaccination tasks including vaccine administration, management, and initial response to adverse reactions.
