Shinhan Bank Signs Business Agreement to Develop Automatic Security Vulnerability Remediation Function
Joint Research on Automated Security Vulnerability Remediation with Security Consulting Specialist SSR
[Asia Economy Reporter Kwangho Lee] Shinhan Bank announced on the 8th that it has signed a business agreement with SSR, a knowledge information security consulting specialist company, to jointly research the automatic security vulnerability remediation function and to advance the security remediation system.
Security vulnerabilities refer to weaknesses caused by configuration flaws or loopholes in infrastructure systems such as servers, communications, security devices, and databases, which allow actions beyond the authorized permissions or viewing, modification, and leakage of information beyond the permitted scope to users.
The automatic security vulnerability remediation function is an idea from Shinhan Bank and is being developed for the first time in Korea. The two companies plan to jointly plan and develop the implementation of the automatic remediation function and equip SSR's security diagnosis solution, 'SolidStep,' with this function.
Shinhan Bank currently maintains the security stability of infrastructure assets through operating security vulnerability inspection solutions and conducting comprehensive regular inspections once a month. In the future, it plans to complete the digital transformation of infrastructure security and related legal compliance tasks through the automatic remediation function.
