Gyeonggi-do Policy Contest Hits 60 Billion 'Jackpot'... 29 Cities and Counties Participate
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] It has been revealed that 29 out of 31 cities and counties in Gyeonggi-do participated in a policy contest worth a total of 60 billion KRW.
Gyeonggi-do announced on the 7th that 29 cities and counties submitted proposals for the "New Gyeonggi Policy Contest 2021, Gyeonggi First" project, which is being conducted with a total special adjustment grant of 60 billion KRW at stake.
In the contest that closed on the 26th of last month, 20 cities and counties submitted proposals in the large-scale project category (total project cost over 10 billion KRW) which supports 6 to 10 billion KRW, and 9 cities and counties submitted proposals in the general-scale project category (total project cost over 6 billion KRW) which supports 3 to 6 billion KRW.
The province will form an external expert judging panel to conduct preliminary evaluations on the 29th and 30th, then select 4 large-scale projects and 7 general-scale projects to advance to the finals.

All cities and counties that reach the finals will receive special adjustment grants. The final ranking will be decided at the final evaluation held in May.
