On the morning of April 7, during the by-election, three disturbances occurred at polling stations in the Busan area, which were reported via 112 emergency calls, but voting proceeded calmly without any major incidents.
According to the Busan Police Agency, three election-related 112 reports were received between 6 a.m. and 10 a.m. that day.
At 6:02 a.m., in front of the Jwacheon 1-dong Community Center in Dong-gu, Ms. A (female, in her 50s) caused a disturbance to a voter who came to vote.
The police who arrived on the scene identified Ms. A as having an intellectual disability and sent her home.
At around 6:27 a.m., an unusual disturbance occurred at Polling Station 5 in Amnam-dong, Seo-gu.
Mr. B (male, in his 70s) caused a commotion because he was unable to vote. Although he moved in on March 22, the polling station was determined based on the status as of March 16. Mr. B should have gone to the polling station in Saha-gu. The police who responded guided him through the voting procedure, calmed him down, and sent him home.
At around 7:54 a.m., Mr. C (male, in his 70s) caused a loud disturbance at the 2nd polling station in Noksan-dong, Gangseo-gu.
The police had difficulty calming Mr. C, who shouted, "They don’t even properly guide voters, and the facilities are a mess."
