[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] Samhwa Paint Industrial Co., Ltd. announced on the 6th that it signed a business agreement with CJ CGV on the 5th at CGV Sinchon Artreon (Seodaemun-gu, Seoul) to establish a safe exit route for viewers in the COVID-19 era. Accordingly, the antiviral paint 'Ansim Doctor,' developed and launched for the first time in Korea, will be applied to the theater exit routes, allowing viewers to use the cinema with peace of mind.
Following the completion of construction at CGV Gangnam in January, Samhwa Paint will establish safe exit routes at nine theaters nationwide, including CGV Ilsan and CGV Dongtan, and operate the 'Samhwa Paint Ansim Doctor Theater.'
Ansim Doctor, applied to the safe exit routes, is a comprehensive antiviral paint that kills 99.9% of airborne viruses upon contact with the paint surface (based on picornavirus).
It has been proven by FITI Testing & Research Institute to have antibacterial properties against Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, and five types of mold, maintaining a hygienic environment. It also passed environmental standards by acquiring the Environmental Mark and the highest grade of the HB Mark, the first eco-friendly building material standard certification in the domestic industry.

A Samhwa Paint official said, "Ansim Doctor has already proven its applicability through installation at various multi-use facilities such as HACCP-certified factories, hospitals, daycare centers, libraries, and public institutions," adding, "We hope that establishing safe exit routes in theaters will help revive leisure activities somewhat stagnated due to COVID-19, and we will continue to strive to create spaces and facilities where customers can feel safe."
