View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Lotte Hotel Seoul and World announced on the 6th that they will add vegan menu items and introduce 'Drive-Thru Season 2' using eco-friendly containers.
A Lotte Hotel official stated, "Drive-thru sales in the first quarter of this year increased by about 20% compared to the fourth quarter of last year, and sales have steadily grown since its first launch in March last year," adding, "As the drive-thru, which was the first in the industry, has received much love from customers, we are once again taking on the industry's first challenge with drive-thru products reflecting an eco-friendly lifestyle."
The newly added vegan lunchbox, 'Veggie Box,' is composed of superfoods, capturing both taste and health. Customers can choose 4 items from ▲ mini burger made with beans ▲ tofu skin vegetable roll sukiyaki ▲ assorted grilled vegetables ▲ sweet pumpkin mixed with nuts ▲ gamtae bibimbap, kale ssambap, vegetable sushi and konjac noodle futomaki ▲ fruit pistachio dacquoise. For 'Pesco-Vegetarians,' who eat dairy, eggs, and fish along with vegetables, there is also 'grilled silver cod and flounder with pea and vegetable served with burrata cheese sauce,' expanding the options. The price is 48,000 KRW for a 4-item set and 15,000 KRW for a single item.
The packaging container has been replaced with an eco-friendly pulp box made from sugarcane fiber. While using general paper pulp causes forest damage and negatively impacts climate change, using pulp boxes can reduce carbon dioxide emissions generated during the incineration of leftover straw after harvesting sugarcane. By minimizing plastic use and vinyl coating, the packaging naturally decomposes and becomes compost without requiring a separate recycling process.
Reservations can be made on the Lotte Hotel website, Naver, and by phone up to 24 hours before the pickup time, and orders can be collected at the first-floor drive-thru pickup zone or Delica Hans at the designated time.
