At the meeting, Jeon Gyeong-seon, Chair of the Council Steering Committee (Democratic Party of Korea·Mokpo 5), Park Moon-ok, Chair of the Planning and Administration Committee (Democratic Party of Korea·Mokpo 1), Lee Hyuk-je, Chair of the Budget and Accounts Committee (Democratic Party of Korea·Mokpo 4), Jo Ok-hyun (Democratic Party of Korea·Mokpo 2), Choi Seon-guk (Democratic Party of Korea·Mokpo 3), and officials from the Mokpo Office of Education attended to seek ways to secure the education budget for Mokpo.
The five provincial council members from Mokpo and officials including Roh Byung-soo, Administrative Director of the Mokpo Office of Education, discussed through a communication forum on major pending projects to ensure that related budgets could be secured in this year's supplementary budget.
In particular, they agreed to prioritize securing the budget for improvements to Hadang Elementary School and Seohae Elementary School playgrounds, which could not be reflected due to the shortage in this year's supplementary budget, in next year's main budget, aiming for balanced budget allocation.
