Guri-si to Intensify Crackdown on Illegal Garbage Dumping Until the End of June
[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] Guri City in Gyeonggi Province will intensively crack down on illegal dumping of garbage until the end of June.
According to the city on the 3rd, two teams of 15 members each will be formed for nighttime patrols to conduct a large-scale crackdown across the city, focusing on areas vulnerable to illegal and unauthorized dumping.
The crackdown targets include ▲ disposal without using designated volume-based waste bags and food waste containers ▲ disposal without separating recyclables inside volume-based waste bags ▲ failure to attach a permit for large household waste ▲ illegal incineration of waste ▲ non-compliance with designated disposal times, and violators will be fined up to 1 million KRW under the Waste Management Act.
