'4·7 By-election' Early Voting Day 2, 12 PM Nationwide Turnout 13.6%... Seoul 14.4%
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] As of 12:00 noon on the second day of the 'April 7 By-election Early Voting,' the nationwide average turnout rate was recorded at 13.63%.
According to the National Election Commission, as of 12:00 noon on this day, out of 12,161,624 eligible voters nationwide, 1,657,264 participated in early voting. The early voting rate at noon on the second day of the 2018 local elections was 12.99%.
With the early voting rate surpassing that of the previous local elections, attention is focused on whether the final early voting turnout will exceed 20.14% (2018 local elections).
In the Seoul mayoral election, 1,210,607 out of 8,425,869 eligible voters participated, recording a 14.37% early voting rate, while in the Busan mayoral election, 376,511 out of 2,936,301 eligible voters participated, recording a 12.82% early voting rate.

This early voting will continue until 6:00 PM on the 3rd at designated polling stations. Polling station locations can be checked on the National Election Commission website or through portal sites.
