Producer Group Sector Wins $500,000 Award
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Miryang City, Gyeongnam Province announced on the 2nd that Miryang Nonghyup (Representative Lee Seong-su) Gongpanjang Branch won the $500,000 Export Tower Award in the Producer Group category at the '25th Gyeongsangnam-do Agricultural and Marine Products Export Tower' awards ceremony.
This event was organized to celebrate and encourage companies that devoted themselves to exports despite the difficult external conditions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic last year and received the Export Tower Award.
Miryang Nonghyup earned the honor of receiving this Export Tower Award by exporting $719,000 worth of strawberries, Miryang's main agricultural product, to Hong Kong last year. The total agricultural and marine products export performance of Miryang City in 2020 was 41 billion KRW in fresh agricultural products and 34.2 billion KRW in processed foods, totaling 38.3 billion KRW.
