Yeonggwang-gun Accepts Applications for 'Talent Development Scholarship' Until the 21st
[Yeonggwang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seong-jeong] Jeollanam-do Yeonggwang-gun (Governor Kim Jun-seong) announced on the 2nd that it is accepting applications for the ‘Yeonggwang Talent Development Scholarship’ until the 21st for elementary, middle, high school, and university students as well as teachers in the region.
The eligibility criteria require that as of the announcement date, the applicant or their guardian must have continuously registered their residence in the county and lived there for more than two years. Eligible applicants include students enrolled in elementary, middle, and high schools within the county, university students in Korea, and teachers who have registered their residence in the county for more than one year and have worked at a local school for more than one year.
The scholarship amounts are 200,000 KRW for elementary students, 300,000 KRW for middle school students, 800,000 KRW for high school students, and 1,000,000 KRW for teachers. University students will receive a differential amount ranging from 200,000 KRW to 3,000,000 KRW depending on whether they have received other scholarships.
Applications for elementary, middle, and high school students and teachers must be recommended by the school principal, while university students should submit their applications to the local town or township office by the 21st.
The recipients will be finalized through the Talent Development Committee, and the scholarships are scheduled to be awarded next month.
