ITEyes Digital Service Certification to "Leap Forward as a Specialized Cloud Service Company"
ITEyes (CEO Seongnam Lee) has declared its leap forward as a cloud-specialized company by designating AI big data-based total cloud services as one of its future growth engines starting this year, based on its innovative service provision business combining the financial industry and ICT, and simultaneously obtained digital service certification.
ITEyes, which has already provided its AI big data cloud platform GURMWI to the common platform of the Korean AI precision medical service ‘Dr. Answer 1.0’ developed by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA), has officially received certification from an authorized institution by passing the digital service certification review together with KT and others. This certifies its capabilities in cloud service consulting and cloud system migration.
Digital service certification is a specialized contracting system that allows national institutions, local governments, and public institutions to swiftly adopt digital services by converting the previously lengthy bidding contracts into negotiated contracts, in accordance with relevant laws, to promote the adoption and use of cloud computing across the government.
This certification and specialized contracting system were first implemented in October 2020 and can be accessed through the Public Procurement Service’s digital service exclusive shopping mall. Since its introduction, the contract amount has explosively surpassed 100 billion KRW in about five months, gaining tremendous popularity.
Lee Geumhong, Executive Director in charge of ITEyes’ Digital Service Division, said, “With this certification acquisition, we will provide not only cloud services such as IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and DaaS but also operational management support services including migration consulting and AI convergence services. Based on the cloud environment R&D achievements and operational know-how accumulated over many years through our in-house research institute and cloud operation center, we will meet the demands of institutions and corporate customers undergoing digital transformation in the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution and grow together with our customers through rapid response. At the same time, we will prepare additional certifications such as cloud service security certification to actively support the use of private cloud in the public sector.”
Through continuous investment in cloud services, ITEyes conducted financial cloud migration and construction consulting for Koscom last year, and currently continues its transition to a cloud service specialized company with projects such as AI-based market prediction systems for Woori Bank, agricultural big data platform and center construction for the Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation, and AI big data-based cloud platform business.
Meanwhile, the government has selected ‘Digital New Deal’ and ‘Digital Government Innovation Development Plan’ as tasks, deciding to convert administrative and public institution information systems to private and public clouds by 2025. After establishing a roadmap last year, related projects are currently underway.
Through this digital service certification, ITEyes will deploy professional personnel to national institutions, local governments, public institutions, and companies intending to adopt cloud services, providing consulting across all stages including cloud education process operation and security. It will also offer total cloud services including diverse, stable, and reliable migration based on new technologies when migrating systems to the cloud.
