[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Dongdaemun-gu (Mayor You Deok-yeol) conducted a 'COVID-19 Vaccination Simulation Drill' at 2 p.m. on the 1st at the Dongdaemun-gu Gymnasium, the vaccination center of Dongdaemun-gu.
During the drill, they checked the installation details of the internal facilities of the vaccination center, inspected the status of manpower securing, confirmed matters related to center operation, conducted scenario training selecting vaccination targets and proceeding with vaccinations, and carried out emergency response training for unexpected situations.
Emergency patients occurring during vaccination will be transported to nearby emergency rooms such as Kyung Hee Medical Center, Seoul Sahmyook Hospital, and Seoul Seongsim Hospital, with which prior agreements have been made.
Prior to this, Dongdaemun-gu Public Health Center (Director Jang Seung-hee) signed an MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) with Kyung Hee University Hospital (Hospital Director Oh Ju-hyung), a tertiary medical institution, for the operation of the COVID-19 vaccination project. Until the end of vaccination, they will ensure thorough center operation through ▲simulation training and education for new staff at the COVID-19 vaccination center ▲emergency treatment cooperation for severe adverse reaction patients occurring at the COVID-19 vaccination center ▲administrative support related to COVID-19 vaccination.
The district plans to vaccinate approximately 26,000 elderly residents aged 75 and over with addresses in Dongdaemun-gu, as well as about 740 nursing facility users and workers, with the Pfizer vaccine starting from the 15th.
The Dongdaemun-gu vaccination center will operate from Monday to Friday (8 a.m. to 5 p.m.).
