Gyeongnam Province Reports 11 New COVID-19 Cases... 70s Patient Dies (Comprehensive)

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] As of 1:30 PM on the 1st, Gyeongsangnam-do announced that 11 new confirmed cases occurred since 5 PM the previous day.

By region, there are 6 cases in Changwon, 4 in Jinju, and 1 in Gimhae.

Among the confirmed cases in Changwon, 3 tested positive after contact with confirmed cases within the province and were classified as numbers 2934, 2936, and 2942.

Two others tested positive after contact with confirmed cases from other regions and were classified as numbers 2935 and 2937.

The remaining one tested positive after voluntarily getting tested due to symptoms and was classified as number 2943. The infection route is under investigation.

Among the confirmed cases in Jinju, 2 are family members who voluntarily got tested due to symptoms and were classified as numbers 2933 and 2938. The infection route is under investigation.

The other 2 are confirmed cases related to the Jinju bathhouse, who tested positive during pre-release testing from quarantine and were classified as numbers 2939 and 2940. This brings the total number of confirmed cases related to the Jinju bathhouse to 251.

The one confirmed case in Gimhae tested positive after voluntarily getting tested due to symptoms and was classified as number 2941. The infection route is under investigation.

On the previous day, a patient in their 70s from the province who was hospitalized at Seoul Sinchon Severance Hospital passed away. The quarantine authorities stated they will actively support procedures related to the funeral.
