[Asia Economy Reporter Kwangho Lee] Shinhan Financial Group announced on the 1st that it has successfully concluded the first accelerator program of Shinhan Square Bridge Incheon (S² Bridge: Incheon).
Through its mid- to long-term innovative finance plan, the 'Triple K Project,' Shinhan Financial has established and operates the group’s innovation growth platforms, Shinhan Square Bridge, nationwide in Seoul, Incheon, Jeju, and Daejeon.
Among them, Shinhan Square Bridge Incheon provides various programs such as discovery, nurturing, investment, and global expansion targeting startups in innovative technologies related to the 4th Industrial Revolution and the bio-healthcare sector.
Last November, Shinhan Financial selected 84 startups as the first cohort of Shinhan Square Bridge Incheon and is currently running startup development programs in three tracks: incubation, acceleration, and global.
The accelerator track, which concluded on this day, was designed to support startups with innovative technologies in ▲investment attraction ▲business expansion ▲technology commercialization ▲market expansion, and was conducted over 16 weeks from the end of last November with a total of 16 startups.
Shinhan Financial succeeded in attracting a total investment of 16 billion KRW through connections with external investors such as the Shinhan Square Bridge Incheon dedicated fund, venture capital, Korea Credit Guarantee Fund, and Small and Medium Business Corporation to support startups.
Through this, it plans to support the scale-up of startups with innovative technologies participating in the accelerator program, such as 'Eva,' an electric vehicle charging solution provider, 'BrainGear,' a developer of wearable brain treatment systems, and 'BioDesignLab,' a biopharmaceutical developer.
