University Students as ‘Problem Solvers’ Rise Again... Dongmyeong University’s Signature Regional Issue-Solving ‘Living Lab’ Launches 35 Teams
Support of 2.5 Million KRW per Team, Recruiting Participating Teams Until April 9

Dongmyung University (President Jeong Hong-seop) Social Customized Industry-Academic Cooperation Leading University (LINC+) Project Group (Project Director Shin Dong-seok) supports the TU-Living Lab program, which builds related networks through experiments to solve local community problems.
Each team receives 2.5 million KRW, supporting up to 35 teams. Recruitment for participating teams runs from March 29 to April 9. Selected living lab teams (up to 35 teams) will operate from April 19 to November 30.
The Living Lab is an innovative model where actual users?citizens, local governments, companies, and universities?collaborate to find solutions in real-life settings for local issues. It is characterized by user-driven, open, and experimental learning.
TU-Living Lab supports clear problem definition and field-centered idea generation and provides expert mentoring for idea validation.
As a public-private-people partnership, professors and students directly operate the living labs to contribute to solving local problems and support new value creation through interactions among members.
It strengthens the university's social role and builds related networks to directly solve problems.

Dongmyung University LINC+ Project Group Regional Community Collaboration Center (Center Director Park Soo-young) supported TU-Living Lab activities last year from June for about six months, involving 172 participants from 29 teams across 13 departments in six fields including tourism, education, environment, health, safety, and welfare.
