Shinhan Bank Implements Digital and ICT Rolling Recruitment... Conducting 3 Selection Processes
[Asia Economy Reporter Kwangho Lee] Shinhan Bank announced on the 31st that it will conduct digital and information and communication technology (ICT) rolling recruitment and ICT specialized high school rolling recruitment to secure outstanding talents who will lead the bank's digital transformation.
The rolling recruitment selection consists of three tracks: ▲ Digital·ICT rolling recruitment ▲ Digital·ICT rolling recruitment Samsung Youth Software Academy (SSAFY) special track ▲ ICT specialized high school rolling recruitment.
Applications can be submitted on the Shinhan Bank recruitment website until the 18th of next month, and the selection process consists of document screening, online coding test, in-depth interview, and final interview.
Since 2019, Shinhan Bank was the first in the banking sector to establish digital·ICT rolling recruitment and introduced job-specialized hiring such as conducting coding tests. It has been recruiting talents with expertise and diversity, including ICT specialized high schools, digital·ICT master's and doctoral degree holders, and Samsung Youth Software Academy graduates.
Jin Ok-dong, the bank president, emphasized, "The fate of the organization depends on digital transformation, and we will focus resources on developing data and artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities and lower the barriers to talent recruitment." Subsequently, the bank established the 'Digital Innovation Team' directly under the president, recruited external experts such as Executive Directors Hye-ju Kim and Jun-hwan Kim, and launched a project to train 1,000 data analysis experts within the bank, promoting digital transformation.

Meanwhile, Shinhan Bank is considering introducing a 'Digital Literacy' assessment to measure digital capabilities in the new employee open recruitment scheduled for the second half of the year.
