Yoon Jong-won, CEO of Industrial Bank of Korea, Supports Live Broadcast Sales of SME Products, First in Financial Sector
Small and Medium Business Online Sales Channel Support Project
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi] Yoon Jong-won, President of IBK Industrial Bank of Korea, has taken the lead in supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) struggling to open sales channels due to the impact of COVID-19.
On the 31st, IBK announced that as part of its online sales channel support service for SMEs, it will conduct a "Live Broadcast for Selling SME Products" in collaboration with VogoPlay, a live commerce platform company. The SME online sales channel support project is the first service in the financial sector to support the sale of excellent SME products through live broadcasts.
IBK provides live broadcast and advertising production costs, while VogoPlay introduces SME products with lower sales commissions than TV home shopping or general live broadcasts. Starting with the application process for supported companies through IBK's nationwide branches in February, 68 companies were finally selected through the first document screening and the second screening committee composed of current merchandise planners (MDs).
The selected products will be introduced sequentially through live broadcasts. The first broadcast is scheduled for the 31st at 8 PM and can be viewed via the smartphone application "VOGO" or the mobile webpage. Additionally, from the 31st, customers who pay more than 30,000 KRW with an IBK Industrial Bank card on "VOGO" will receive a 10,000 KRW billing discount benefit.
