Policy Meeting Held to Discuss Local Issue Projects

View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Kyung-pil] Wando County, Jeollanam-do (Governor Shin Woo-cheol) announced on the 31st that on the 30th, it held a policy meeting to discuss regional pending projects by inviting National Assembly member Yoon Jae-gap of the Haenam-Wando-Jindo constituency at the Wando County Office Situation Room, and agreed to actively cooperate for budget acquisition and system improvement.
The meeting was held with the attendance of Governor Shin Woo-cheol, National Assembly member Yoon Jae-gap, Provincial Assembly members Lee Cheol and Shin Ui-jun, County Council Chairman Heo Gung-hee, and county council members to explain and listen to major pending projects of the 7th local government administration and exchange opinions between the ruling party and the government.
First, through their greetings, Governor Shin Woo-cheol and National Assembly member Yoon Jae-gap shared the intention to communicate closely and cooperate to realize a "hopeful future Wando where everyone prospers."
The meeting began in a warm atmosphere with congratulations on the successful attraction of the National Subtropical Arboretum.
Following this, they agreed to cooperate and actively respond together to reflect government policies and secure national funding for regional pending projects such as the establishment of a Marine Healing Sports Rehabilitation Center, fostering marine bio and building smart farms, early commencement of the second phase of the Gwangju-Wando Expressway, upgrading the Goheung-Wando Coastal Tourist Road to a national highway, construction of the Nohwa-Soan connecting bridge, and construction of the Honam-Jeju high-speed railway passing through Wando.
Additionally, they proposed revising the current Island Development Promotion Act, which unreasonably excludes connected islands such as Shinji-myeon, Gogeum-myeon, and Yaksan-myeon from the comprehensive island development project, and requested support for the construction of the National Maritime Museum, a project with a budget of 120 billion won.
National Assembly member Yoon Jae-gap stated, "I will carefully manage Wando County's pending projects and work together to make Wando a better place to live. I will continue to closely consult and communicate with Governor Shin Woo-cheol and do my best to secure national budget."

Through this policy meeting, we will establish an organic cooperation system with Assembly member Yoon Jae-gap and make next year a year to vigorously promote major projects by fully committing to securing national funding."
