Damyang-gun Implements 'Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) Installation Support Project'
10~12.5% Self-Payment of Device Price, Mandatory Operation for 2 Years After Device Installation
[Damyang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Damyang County, Jeonnam announced on the 30th that it will support diesel particulate filters (DPF) for about 100 old diesel vehicles to improve air quality.
The eligible vehicles are diesel vehicles rated as emission grade 5 that have been registered in Damyang County for more than six months as of the project announcement date (March 29 of this year) and are capable of being equipped with a diesel particulate filter (DPF).
The self-payment amount ranges from 280,000 to 650,000 KRW, which is 10 to 12.5% of the device price, and for livelihood vehicles owned by recipients of the National Basic Livelihood Security, full support is provided.
The application period is until the 7th of next month, and applications can be submitted online (through the Vehicle Emission Grade System website), or at the local town office or the county Ecological Environment Division.
Vehicles receiving support must operate with the device attached for two years, and if the device is removed during the mandatory period, approval for removal must be obtained from the manufacturer, and the device and subsidy must be returned.
