KLPGA Rookie Lee Yewon "Joining KB Financial Group~"
Lee Ye-won (18, photo), a rookie on the Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Tour, signed a sponsorship contract with KB Financial Group on the 30th.
She will be joining top domestic and international players under the same banner, including "Golf Queen" Park In-bee (32), Jeon In-ji (27), Ahn Song-yi (31), Oh Ji-hyun (25), and Jeon Ji-won (24). "During my time as a national team member, every time I participated in a professional tournament, it was my dream to compete wearing a KB Financial Group cap once I turned pro," she said. "Taking my first step as a professional together with KB Financial Group feels like a dream, and I will repay the faith they have shown in my potential with good results," she added.

Lee Ye-won is a top prospect who was selected for the national team in 2018 after being part of the national reserve team in 2016. That year, she won five titles including the KB Financial Group Amateur Championship. She also claimed first place at the Hosim Cup in 2019 and the Bitgoeul Jungheung Cup in 2020. From 2018 to 2020, she secured first place among amateurs for three consecutive years at the KLPGA Tour major KB Financial Star Championship. This year, she plans to gain experience on the Jump (3rd tier) Tour and the Dream (2nd tier) Tour.
