Cheonghae Unit Conducts Protection Activities for Ships Circumventing Cape of Good Hope
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Hyun-seok] The Ministry of National Defense announced on the 29th that the Cheonghae Unit will carry out operational activities to protect Korean-flagged vessels that are bypassing the Suez Canal via the Cape of Good Hope due to the blockage caused by a grounded ship.
The Cheonghae Unit moved to the Gulf of Aden area at 3:20 PM on the same day. It plans to carry out protection missions for our vessels in the Gulf of Aden area.
