CJ Logistics Transitions to Sole Leadership Under CEO Kang Shin-ho
[Asia Economy Reporter Dongwoo Lee] CJ Logistics has transitioned to a sole CEO system under Kang Shin-ho.
CJ Logistics held its 111th regular shareholders' meeting on the 29th at the ENA Hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul, and announced that the original proposal to newly appoint CEO Kang as an inside director was approved.
CEO Kang was appointed as CEO at the end of last year, replacing former Vice Chairman and CEO Park Geun-hee, and received shareholders' trust through the shareholders' meeting held that day.
CEO Kang served as CEO of CJ Freshway from 2013 to 2016, was CEO of CJ CheilJedang last year, and has been CEO of CJ Logistics since this year.
CEO Kang plans to focus on resolving major issues such as the overwork deaths of delivery workers this year and improving the operating profit margin.
Vice Chairman Park Geun-hee stepped down as an inside director but will maintain his title and take charge of external general affairs.
In addition, Shin Young-soo, head of the delivery division, and Kim Jun-hyun, head of the CJ Business Management Team, were newly appointed as inside directors. Three individuals, including former Financial Services Commission Chairman Lim Jong-ryong, were appointed as outside directors and audit committee members.
