View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Gimhae City, Gyeongnam Province, will reopen the ‘Saengnim Auto Camping Site’ starting May 1st, operating three days every weekend on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Located at 1322-6 Masa-ri, Saengnim-myeon, Saengnim Camping Site is the largest in the area with 93 camping sites on a 38,000㎡ plot. Nearby attractions include the Nakdong River Rail Bike, Wine Cave, Train Cafe, and various sports facilities.
Reservations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis starting April 1st through the Saengnim Camping Site website.
Usage hours are from 2 PM on the day of check-in until 12 PM the following day. Fees per day for one passenger car are 24,000 KRW for tent sites and 34,000 KRW for caravan sites. Gimhae citizens receive a 20% discount.
The city has revised the related ordinance to expand the 30% discount eligibility to include multicultural families, single-parent families, and families with three or more children, in addition to persons with disabilities, national merit recipients, and households receiving basic livelihood security benefits.
To address the chronic deficit issues faced by private contractors who previously managed the site and frequently withdrew mid-term, the city plans to gradually adjust fees to reflect actual costs.
Starting in June, fees will increase by 5,000 KRW, and further incremental increases will be implemented based on operational cost analysis to minimize the burden on users.
