The ‘Go! Go! (GOGO) Relay Challenge’ is a campaign started by the Ministry of Environment in January, where participants post messages on SNS containing one thing not to do and one thing to do to reduce plastic, and then nominate the next participant.
Mayor Ryoo Kyung-gi of Jungnang-gu joined the campaign on the 11th after being nominated by Park Kyum-soo, Mayor of Gangbuk-gu.
On this day, Mayor Ryoo posted the slogan “Reduce the use of disposable cups! Increase the use of reusable cups!” on Instagram, and nominated Joella, the public relations ambassador of Jungnang-gu, Eun Seung-hee, Chairperson of the Jungnang-gu Council, and Jang Soon-yeol, Chairperson of the Jungnang-gu branch of the Democratic Peaceful Unification Advisory Council, as the next participants.
Mayor Ryoo Kyung-gi said, “To achieve a sustainable daily life, we will reduce unnecessary plastic use and take the lead in environmental protection activities,” and added, “I hope all residents will join in reducing plastic in their daily lives.”
