With this, CEO Park became the third CEO of the integrated Hana Bank, following CEO Ham Young-joo, who was inaugurated as the first CEO when the integrated Hana Bank was launched in September 2015, and CEO Ji Seong-gyu.
CEO Park served as the CEO of Hana Financial TI, Hana Financial Group’s IT specialized affiliate, for about three years starting in December 2015, leading the successful IT integration of the integrated Hana Bank. Additionally, he was appointed CEO of Hana Bank Indonesia in June 2019, achieving successful local business results in Indonesia, earning a reputation as a prepared CEO who has led both global and digital sectors.
Through this, as COVID-19 prolongs globally and new changes and innovations are demanded at a turning point in finance, Hana Bank is expected to inject new vitality by clearly presenting the direction it should take, enabling Hana Bank to soar as an innovative bank through people-centered change and innovation.
CEO Park emphasized that for Hana Bank to overcome the turning point in finance and achieve sustainable growth, change and crisis must be transformed into new opportunities, and the answer must be found in ‘people.’
In his inauguration speech, he stressed “The value that never changes even in a rapidly changing financial environment is ‘people.’ The starting point and goal of change and innovation must all be ‘people.’ People mean customers, employees, and society,” and stated, “Our goal is to create a bank that satisfies customers, makes employees happy, contributes to the sustainable growth of society, and thus becomes a ‘bank that makes tomorrow more hopeful.’”

He also emphasized that he would lead by example for ‘transformational leadership,’ which draws voluntary participation through horizontal communication processes among employees based on empathy and produces results through that participation.
