Gwangju Seo-gu Cheongchun Balsan Workshop Stands Tall as a 'Youth Employment Mecca'
Employment Placement for 10,388 People and Support for 713 Over 3 Years
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Seo Daeseok) has established the ‘Job Cafe Cheongchun Balsan Workshop’ to support youth employment and entrepreneurship as well as provide a healing space, which is now standing tall as a mecca for youth employment.
According to Seo-gu on the 24th, the Cheongchun Balsan Workshop, which will celebrate its 3rd anniversary on the 30th, has facilitated employment for 10,388 people and supported employment and entrepreneurship for 713 people to date.
Professional career counselors are stationed on-site, conducting mini job fairs, one-on-one employment guidance education, visiting employment counseling, and accompanied interviews.
Located in Nongsong-dong, the Cheongchun Balsan Workshop is equipped with spaces reflecting youth needs, including study rooms, meeting rooms, a VR (Virtual Reality) and AI (Artificial Intelligence) interview experience center, a reading space with over 1,000 books, an information search desk, and a cafeteria.
Despite the youth employment cliff caused by COVID-19 last year, the Cheongchun Balsan Workshop made great efforts to revitalize the shrinking job market by holding an ontact job fair.
Additionally, it was the first in the region to establish a VR interview experience center, supporting safe and effective non-face-to-face interviews, which received great responses from job-seeking youth.
With the recent emergence of the need for fair and objective recruitment interviews, this year plans include newly establishing an AI interview experience center, which is actually being introduced in recruitment sites across various fields such as public institutions and large corporations.
Along with this, Seo-gu Job Center plans to open SNS channels to provide timely job information to job-seeking youth and maintain interactive communication.
To commemorate the 3rd anniversary, from the 29th to the 31st, a ‘Youth Job Festival’ will be held featuring ▲Catch the Job with Artificial Intelligence! AI Interview Special Lecture ▲Healing Leather Craft One-day Class to Overcome Corona Blue ▲Ontact Mini Job Fair, among others.
Applications for participation in these programs can be made on the Seo-gu Job Center website.
