HiteJinro and the Fire Agency Hold the 2nd Non-Face-to-Face Sports Competition
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] HiteJinro announced on the 24th that it will hold a non-face-to-face sports competition, '2021 The Hero Race,' in collaboration with the National Fire Agency. The event will be held for two months starting from April 1, targeting HiteJinro employees, nationwide firefighters, and their families.
Following last year, the second '2021 The Hero Race' was planned to promote continuous physical fitness improvement in participants' daily lives, foster a sense of achievement, and strengthen unity and communication among members.
As a non-face-to-face fitness competition recorded and evaluated through a location-based application to prevent the spread of COVID-19, it was recognized as a model case and won the silver prize at the 2020 Government Innovation Excellence Case Competition.
This year, in celebration of Family Month, the scope of participants was expanded to include firefighters' families, and participation rates were increased by selecting only seven events.
Based on individual and team competitions, there are six events: ▲walking ▲running ▲mountain climbing ▲cycling, and a non-competitive event ▲daily walking 10,000 steps adherence. Exercise amounts are measured using a GPS-based app, and records over two months will be totaled and awarded in June.
Kim In-gyu, CEO of HiteJinro, said, "We hope this sports competition will bring vitality to the daily lives of firefighters who work hard to protect the safety and lives of the public and HiteJinro employees," adding, "HiteJinro plans to continue supporting the welfare improvement of fire service workers."
