Fire at Cheonan Haitai Confectionery Factory... Level 2 Response Issued
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] At around 8:13 PM on the 23rd, a fire broke out at the Haitai Confectionery factory Choco Building (28,837㎡) in Seonggeo-eup, Seobuk-gu, Cheonan-si, Chungnam. The 119 fire brigade, dispatched after receiving the report, is conducting firefighting operations.
When the fire broke out, about 100 factory employees evacuated on their own, and no casualties have been reported so far. It is reported that the fire started from materials and then spread to the factory warehouse.

The fire authorities issued a Level 2 response at 8:40 PM to prevent the flames from spreading. Cheonan City also sent a safety message requesting vehicles passing through the area to take a detour.
