The Yeoju Police Station in Gyeonggi announced on the 23rd, "We are currently investigating staff member A and others on charges including violation of the Act on Welfare of Persons with Disabilities."
Staff member A and others are accused of repeatedly restraining and assaulting disabled individuals at the facility where they worked from January to July of last year. It has been reported that A and others have been suspended from their duties since last month.
