'Smoking Student Corporal Punishment' Administrative Director Sent to Prosecution for Beating Causing Bruises and Verbal Abuse

According to the Citizens' Coalition for an Egalitarian Society (Citizens' Coalition) on the 21st, the Gwangsan Police Station in Gwangju sent Administrative Officer A of a certain high school in Gwangju to the prosecution on the 7th with a recommendation for indictment on charges including assault.
Additionally, Principal B of the school, who had management and supervisory responsibility, was also sent on charges of aiding and abetting child abuse.
A is accused of assaulting and verbally abusing five third-year students who smoked in front of the administrative office in early June last year.
Due to A's corporal punishment, some students suffered bruises on their bodies, and one student's mobile phone was reportedly damaged.
According to statements from some students, A forced the students to hold 5 to 6 cigarettes in their mouths and made them smoke forcibly.
