[Asia Economy Reporter Joselgina] Since the start of COVID-19 vaccination in Korea, a total of 676,587 people have completed their first dose over 23 days.
The COVID-19 Vaccination Response Promotion Team announced on the 21st at midnight that an additional 939 people received the vaccine. The cumulative total is 676,587, with a vaccination rate of 84.6% among priority recipients. Among the vaccinated, 619,100 received the AstraZeneca vaccine, and 57,487 received the Pfizer vaccine.
From the previous day, second doses began for those who received the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine. The number of second dose recipients is 313.
The Promotion Team reported that as of this day, the number of suspected adverse reactions following COVID-19 vaccination increased by 25 cases, totaling 9,782 cases.
Specifically, common post-vaccination symptoms such as muscle pain, headache, fever, chills, and nausea (including 25 new cases, totaling 9,666 cases) accounted for the majority.
Additionally, there were 89 suspected anaphylaxis cases, 11 severe suspected cases such as seizures, and 16 death reports under investigation. No new death reports following vaccination were added on this day.
