Venture Business Association Delivers Venture Policy Tasks to Seoul Mayor Candidate Park Young-sun
Proposal for Creating an Innovative Venture Megacity through Seoul's Specialized Venture Company Development
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Korea Venture Business Association (Chairman Kang Sam-kwon) announced on the 17th that it held a meeting with Seoul mayoral candidate Park Young-sun to propose the cultivation of specialized venture companies in Seoul and the creation of an innovative venture megacity, and delivered a policy proposal booklet.
On this day, the Korea Venture Business Association explained the current status and policy proposals of venture companies and presented various policy alternatives that can revitalize Seoul's innovative venture ecosystem. The main policy proposals for activating ventures in Seoul included ▲ strengthening venture investment and the innovation ecosystem ▲ promoting global-based venture scale-up ▲ encouraging the influx of excellent and young talent ▲ promoting cooperation across diverse spectrums.
Kang Sam-kwon, chairman of the Korea Venture Business Association, said, "To overcome the economic crisis caused by COVID-19, we must rapidly transition to a digital economy to enhance industrial competitiveness and create quality jobs," adding, "Based on Seoul's digital economy infrastructure, cultivating specialized venture companies and creating an innovative venture megacity will enable economic growth and the creation of innovative jobs."
