Kia Conducts '2021 High-Tech Maintenance Academy'... Benefits for Outstanding Trainees Upon Hiring
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] Kia announced on the 17th that it will conduct the '2021 High-Tech Maintenance Academy' to improve service quality through the cultivation of maintenance technical talent.
This academy is the first maintenance technology education program in the domestic automotive industry, operated in the form of industry-sponsored and educational institution collaboration, following a memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed between Kia and Osan University last year.
Kia is recruiting students for the High-Tech Maintenance Academy from today until the 28th, and anyone wishing to participate in the academy can apply.
The selection of High-Tech Maintenance Academy students will be conducted through document screening and interviews, and those finally selected will be provided with free theoretical and practical training for four weeks.
Those who complete the training course with excellent grades will also receive preferential treatment when applying for maintenance personnel positions at Kia's directly managed service centers. Last year, outstanding graduates were given preferential benefits, and Kia is currently recruiting directly managed maintenance personnel.
The High-Tech Maintenance Academy training covers four main areas: ▲ understanding of electrical and electronic systems such as reading electrical circuits and fault diagnosis ▲ understanding the characteristics of eco-friendly vehicles such as electric and hybrid cars ▲ inspection and diagnosis of multimedia systems ▲ diagnosis and calibration of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). The program is operated with online classes on weekdays and offline classes every Sunday.
