Sang-ik Lee, Hampyeong County Governor, Proactively Secures National Budget
[Hampyeong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Lee Sang-ik, the mayor of Hampyeong County, visited the National Assembly on the 15th to explain the necessity and feasibility of three projects, including the expansion and opening of the Bitgreen National Industrial Complex access road, and requested support for the inclusion of national funding.
According to the county on the 16th, Mayor Lee met with Jin Sun-mi, chairperson of the National Assembly Land, Infrastructure and Transport Committee, and Congressman Joo Cheol-hyun to explain the justification and feasibility of key projects for securing national budget and requested maximum support for the inclusion of national funding.
He is known to have actively emphasized the need for annual national funding support mainly for national projects aimed at residents' convenience.
The major pending projects proposed by Mayor Lee on that day include ▲Expansion and opening of the Bitgreen National Industrial Complex access road (towards Hampyeong) (10 billion KRW) ▲Hampyeongcheon River environment maintenance project (5 billion KRW) ▲Selection for the 2021 Rural Agreement public offering project (42.8 billion KRW), totaling three projects amounting to 57.8 billion KRW.
