Seodaemun-gu Announces 'Nuguna Project' Contest to Support Learning Activities for Children and Youth in Communities
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Seodaemun-gu (Mayor Moon Seok-jin) is calling for applications for the ‘Anyone Project’ to enable children and adolescents to safely and healthily engage in rest and learning activities within the community.
This project, initiated in 2016, involves residents, organizations, and institutions interested in innovative education working together to eliminate the boundaries between schools and communities, creating an ‘Educational City Seodaemun’ where children and adolescents can joyfully learn and freely dream.
This year as well, public, private, and academic sectors will come together to plan, execute, and support projects aimed at the happy education of children and adolescents.
The call for applications is divided into two categories: ‘Community School Type’ and ‘Community Education Club Type.’
The ‘Community School Type’ supports up to 3 million KRW per project and accepts applications on various themes such as the Fourth Industrial Revolution, culture and arts, and educational programs for students in blind spots due to social distancing.
The ‘Community Education Club Type’ supports up to 1 million KRW per project and allows various educational club activities such as study clubs and research clubs, as long as they are not for-profit or simple hobby groups.
The application period is from the 19th of this month until 6 PM on the 9th of next month. Required documents can be submitted via email, in person, or by mail. For detailed information, please refer to the announcement on the Seodaemun-gu website.
Pre-consultations are available for new applicants who have difficulty preparing the application and project plan, as well as for those with prior participation experience but who find it challenging to write the project plan. New applicants must undergo pre-consultation before applying.
Consultations will be held at the Seodaemun Innovation Education Support Center during the application period and can be conducted by phone or in person (484 Tongil-ro, Yujin Shopping Center, Room 334).
The district will review applications based on set criteria such as the appropriateness of the project plan, budget feasibility, and project management capability to select support recipients. Customized consulting will also be provided for conditionally selected projects.
Given the ongoing COVID-19 situation, project planning should consider combining face-to-face and non-face-to-face education and club activities.
The project implementation period is from May to November this year, and the support funds can be used for instructor fees, material costs, promotional expenses, and other related costs.
