Application for Discovery of 46 Projects Worth 75 Billion Won
[Hampyeong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Kim Chunsu] Hampyeong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 15th that it plans to apply for a total of 46 agricultural, forestry, and livestock food projects amounting to 75.031 billion KRW for next year.
The agricultural, forestry, and livestock food projects are government-supported initiatives aimed at promoting agricultural and rural development through rural structural improvement and contributing to increased farm household income.
In line with the government's policy to transform agricultural structures according to the digitalization trend across agriculture and to regenerate rural areas as key spaces of the Korean New Deal, the county has identified and applied for 46 projects including the Smart Farm ICT Convergence Project for agricultural digitalization and the Rural Agreement Project, which maximizes synergy effects through spatial complex investments in town and township centers and villages in rural areas.
By sector, there are 42 projects in agriculture worth 65.496 billion KRW, 2 projects in livestock worth 8.944 billion KRW, and 2 projects in forestry worth 591 million KRW.
To this end, on the 10th, Hampyeong-gun Agricultural, Rural, and Food Industry Policy Deliberation Committee, composed of 28 review members with expertise in each division including university professors, heads of related organizations, heads of agricultural, livestock, and forestry cooperatives, and agricultural organizations, conducted in-depth reviews on the feasibility of the projects and the suitability of agricultural policy directions for the 2022 agricultural, forestry, and livestock food project budget application plan and major support projects of 2021, selecting the projects accordingly.
The projects approved on this day will receive funding for 2022 after review by Jeollanam-do and the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs.

County Governor Sang-ik Lee said, “In the post-COVID-19 era, we will expand the agricultural income safety net, establish a sustainable agricultural foundation, and make agriculture the future based on ICT,” adding, “We will do our best to secure national and provincial budgets for agricultural, forestry, and livestock food projects by closely cooperating with Jeollanam-do and central government ministries so that our county’s agriculture can take a step forward.”
