COVID-19 459 New Cases Yesterday... Maintaining 400s for Six Consecutive Days (1st Report)
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Hyun-seok] The Central Disease Control Headquarters announced on the 14th at midnight that there were 459 new confirmed COVID-19 cases, bringing the total to 95,635.
This is 31 fewer than the previous day (490 cases), but it has remained in the 400s for six consecutive days since the 9th (446 cases).
Among the new confirmed cases today, 436 were locally transmitted and 23 were imported from overseas.
The "third wave" of infections, which began in earnest in mid-November last year, has continued to have an impact for four months.
New confirmed cases, which had shown a gradual decline since the beginning of this year, surged to the 600s immediately after the Lunar New Year holiday, then dropped to the 300-400 range, but have recently shown an increasing trend again.
In the past week (8th to 14th), the daily new confirmed cases were 346 → 446 → 470 → 465 → 488 → 490 → 459.
