Geochang-gun, Recruiting Participants for COVID-19 Overcoming Physical Activity Program
"Regain Vitality in Life Through Exercise Amid a Tiring Daily Routine"
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Geochang-gun, Gyeongnam Province, is recruiting about 200 participants for the indoor and outdoor physical activity 'Health Posture Program' from the 15th to the 19th to revitalize daily life exhausted by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
The physical activity program will be operated for three months from the 29th to June 18th, and to expand participation among office workers and the elderly, it will be held at different times (early morning, morning, evening) at the public health center, riverside sports park (in front of KT Plaza), riverside road in front of Daedong Jugong Apartment, Sports Park, and Jukjeon Park.
Complying with social distancing quarantine guidelines, the program is organized into eight teams, and professional instructors will lead strength training and daily exercises twice a week to overcome COVID-19 depression.
Gu In-mo, the mayor of Geochang-gun, said, "The prolonged COVID-19 pandemic has led to a lack of physical activity, raising concerns about decreased muscle strength and immunity, as well as the occurrence of various cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. We will use this program as an opportunity to increase accessibility to physical activity participation and expand various programs so that more residents can participate."
