Daejeon City Announces Public Contest for Private Organizations to Operate Child Abuse Victim Shelters
[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Daejeon City is recruiting non-profit corporations (organizations) to operate and manage shelters for abused children.
According to the city on the 11th, currently four shelters for abused children are operating in Daejeon, and one additional shelter is scheduled to be established and begin operation in July this year.
The recruitment is being conducted to select a private institution to operate the newly established shelter for abused children.
Applicants must be social welfare corporations or non-profit corporations with their main office located in Daejeon as of the application date and have at least three years of experience in child and youth-related projects.
The consignment period is scheduled from July 1, this year, to June 30, 2026. The city plans to select the final consignment institution through a trustee selection committee review within this month.
The selected institution will be responsible for the overall operation and management of the newly established shelter for abused children.
Applications will be accepted from the 22nd to the 23rd of this month through the Family Care Division at City Hall. For more details, refer to the announcement on the city hall website or contact the Family Care Division.
