Sancheong-gun, First Half of the Year Lifelong Education Courses Conducted Both Online and Offline
Recruiting Students Through Online and In-Person Registration
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 10th that it is recruiting students for the ‘2021 First Half Year Eupmyeon Lifelong Education Courses’ until the 19th.
The first half-year lifelong education courses will be held for five months from April 5 to August. Applications can be submitted both online and in person, but the periods differ.
Online applications will be accepted for five days from the 10th to the 14th through the Sancheong-gun Lifelong Learning website. In-person applications will be accepted from the 15th to the 19th at the eupmyeon offices.
Any resident of the county can apply. Selection will be on a first-come, first-served basis, and courses will be held on the designated days starting April 5.
This year’s first half programs include a total of 54 courses, with both on-site lectures and non-face-to-face lectures using online platforms such as ZOOM, KakaoTalk, and Naver Band.
Main programs include yoga, writing, picture books, wood carving, Chinese language, everyday flower arranging, line dance, and Zumba dance. Detailed information can be found on the Sancheong-gun Lifelong Learning website.

A county official said, “Last year, there were many difficulties in operating lifelong education programs due to COVID-19. This year, we will expand learning opportunities through flexible program operation utilizing non-face-to-face methods,” and added, “We ask for the interest and participation of local residents.”
