Incheon Airport Corporation Successfully Concludes 20th Anniversary National Essay Contest
[Asia Economy Reporter Dongwoo Lee] Incheon International Airport Corporation announced on the 10th that it has successfully concluded the 20th Anniversary Public Essay Contest of Incheon Airport.
The corporation explained that this essay contest was planned to share and communicate memories with the public who have been with Incheon Airport over the past 20 years, marking the 20th anniversary of Incheon Airport's opening this year.
During the approximately three-week submission period from January 15 to February 5, a total of 842 entries were received, and the corporation selected 11 outstanding works through the first and second rounds of judging.
The list of winners was announced on February 26 through the public essay contest website. Considering the COVID-19 situation, the awards ceremony is scheduled to be held online on the 18th.
All winners will receive a commendation from the President of Incheon International Airport Corporation. The grand prize winner will receive 2 million KRW, two excellence award winners will receive 1 million KRW each, three merit award winners will receive 500,000 KRW each, and five honorable mention winners will receive 200,000 KRW each.
Additionally, on the 11th at 7 PM, the corporation plans to introduce the submitted works of the essay contest through a live broadcast on Incheon Airport’s official YouTube channel.
During the YouTube live broadcast, various stories submitted to the essay contest will be introduced, and through phone connections with the storytellers, there will be a time to share and communicate memories of the past 20 years with the public. Generous prizes such as AirPods Pro and Kakao Mini C will also be given away through a raffle and quiz events.
