Large-cap Stocks with Market Cap Over 10 Trillion Won Excluded from Market Making Targets
Large-cap stocks with a market capitalization of over 10 trillion won will be excluded from the market-making targets conducted by securities firms to provide liquidity.
According to the financial investment industry on the 9th, the Korea Exchange recently announced a revision to the detailed enforcement rules of the regulations for the KOSPI and KOSDAQ markets, centered on this content.
Previously, the Financial Services Commission and the Exchange decided to introduce a "graduation system for market-making target stocks," which excludes stocks from market-making targets once a certain level of liquidity is secured.
The Exchange plans to exclude stocks with a market capitalization exceeding 10 trillion won when selecting market-making target stocks. As of the closing price on that day, there are a total of 33 stocks with a market capitalization of 10 trillion won or more, including 32 on KOSPI and 1 on KOSDAQ.
