[Asia Economy Reporter Suyeon Woo] Kwon Oh-hyun, an advisor at Samsung Electronics, received the highest compensation among Samsung Electronics executives last year, with an annual salary of 17.233 billion KRW.
According to the business report disclosed by Samsung Electronics on the 9th, Advisor Kwon received a total of 17.233 billion KRW last year. While his salary was 792 million KRW, most of the amount consisted of bonuses (7.032 billion KRW) and retirement pay (9.29 billion KRW).
Next were Advisors Yoon Boo-keun and Shin Jong-kyun, who received 11.527 billion KRW and 11.327 billion KRW, respectively.
Among current CEOs, Vice Chairman Kim Ki-nam, who leads the Semiconductor (DS) business division, received the highest compensation of 8.274 billion KRW. This included a salary of 1.499 billion KRW and bonuses of 6.612 billion KRW.
President Ko Dong-jin, in charge of the IT & Mobile business, received 6.712 billion KRW, and President Kim Hyun-suk, responsible for the Home Appliance division, received 5.457 billion KRW.
