Gwangju University Holds Celebration Ceremony for Soccer Team's Victory in Spring College Soccer Federation Championship
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Gwan-woo] Gwangju University announced on the 9th that it invited and congratulated the soccer team players who won the ‘57th Spring College Soccer Federation Tournament’ Hansan Battle Trophy.
The event was attended by head coach Lee Seung-won, coach Jeong Seung-woon, captain Oh Geon-taek, Most Valuable Player Kim Tae-min, top scorer Park Gyu-min, and all individual award winners of the tournament.
The Gwangju University soccer team won the championship by defeating Jeju International University 5-1 in the final of the ‘Land of the Sea Tongyeong 57th Spring College Soccer Federation Tournament’ held on the 6th at Tongyeong Public Stadium in Gyeongnam.
This is their second national-level tournament victory since 2013.
President Kim Hyuk-jong received the championship flag and trophy on the day and encouraged the coaching staff and players.
He also presented a monetary gift to the soccer team players.
