Lotte Super Offers Pre-Orders for Gangwon-do Sumi Potatoes... "60% Cheaper Compared to Market Price"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Lotte Super announced on the 9th that it will conduct a pre-order sale of Gangwon-do Sumi potatoes from the 10th to the 16th. This event aims to help local farmers who are struggling due to the recent decrease in school meal ingredients caused by COVID-19 and to reduce the burden of grocery prices for customers.
The potatoes introduced this time were harvested last October in the Daegwallyeong area and stored in a cold storage facility by the Potato Seed Promotion Institute. The Sumi variety is characterized by a high starch content, making it fluffy when baked or steamed, with a bright color and thin skin.
L.POINT members can purchase 10kg for 13,000 won when applying the ‘Nonghal Gapsida’ event. This price is about 60% cheaper compared to the market price of new potatoes in the first week of March.
