[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-seop] SangSangIn Group announced on the 8th that it has signed a business agreement for the ‘Learning Environment Improvement Project for Hearing-Impaired Children’ with SK Social Contribution Foundation’s Happiness Sharing Foundation and the software company Soriboneun Tongro.
Representing SangSangIn Group, Lee Myung-su, CEO of SangSangIn Securities, Lee In-seop, CEO of SangSangIn Savings Bank, and Song Ki-moon, CEO of SangSangIn Plus Savings Bank attended the signing ceremony. Also present were Song Je-hoon, head of the Happiness Sharing Foundation, and Yoon Ji-hyun, CEO of Soriboneun Tongro.
This project is designed to help hearing-impaired children see the teacher’s speech in text form even when they cannot see the teacher’s lip movements. It was planned to address the difficulties faced by hearing-impaired children who rely on residual hearing and lip-reading to follow lessons.
Using the AI-based real-time text interpretation service ‘Soboro,’ the teacher’s voice is converted into text on a tablet PC. Features such as saving allow for review. The learning process of hearing-impaired children will be measured for effectiveness and used as basic research data to improve the learning environment.
