Sudan Embassy Vehicle Flees After Minor Collision in the Heart of Gangnam
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] A vehicle belonging to the Embassy of Sudan in Korea was involved in a hit-and-run incident in Gangnam, Seoul.
According to the police on the 8th, at around 9:43 PM the previous day, a Genesis vehicle traveling on Gangnam-daero in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, heading towards Kyobo Tower Intersection near Gangnam Station, collided with the left rear bumper of a taxi while changing lanes.
After the accident, the taxi driver got out of the vehicle and took photos of the accident scene, but the colliding vehicle left the scene immediately without leaving contact information. The taxi passenger sustained minor injuries from the accident.

A police official stated, "Upon checking the diplomatic license plate on the Genesis vehicle, it was confirmed to belong to the Sudan Embassy. Since embassy staff may have diplomatic immunity, punishment might be difficult, so we are attempting to contact the insurance company to ensure compensation for the damages."
