Ministry of Science and ICT Achieves 100 Billion KRW Contract Amount for Public Institution Digital Service Specialized Contracts
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] The Ministry of Science and ICT announced on the 7th that the contract amount for the 'Digital Service Specialized Contract System,' established to introduce digital services to public institutions, has reached 100 billion KRW.
The Ministry of Science and ICT introduced the Digital Service Specialized Contract System in October last year, providing a basis for companies to offer digital services to government agencies.
Digital services include cloud computing services, cloud computing support services, and intelligent information technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT).
Companies interested in providing digital services can apply to the Digital Service Review Committee, which reviews whether the service meets the application criteria. Selected services can enter direct contracts or catalog contracts with public institutions.
A catalog contract is a contract type that allows the demand institution to modify contract terms, such as adding products or services or changing prices as desired.
Demand institutions for selected services can refer to digital service details, contract status information, and actual cases before contracts through the Digital Service Usage Support System.
